Stranraer District Chamber of Commerce is an established organisation, founded in 1996, to encourage local businesses to have their say on local business issues, such as the Stranraer Waterfront Development, the Town's Renewal, and developing a stable and sustainable local economy. The current economic climate will present the town with many difficult challenges. By working with the local business community the Chamber of Commerce is able to represent that community at the highest levels. Join us and help contribute to our district's economic growth.

The Stranraer District Chamber of Commerce welcomes membership applications from all businesses in the area. Whether you are self employed, a sole trader, a small-medium sized businesses or something larger, you are welcome to join us. Together we can make a difference and work towards the town's economic regeneration.

The Stranraer District Chamber was instrumental in the establishment of two locally important organisations: Stranraer Millennium Centre Community Trust, and the Stranraer and District Local History Trust (formed in 1998, the History Trust has published a large catalogue of books about our local history. The Chamber also works closely with local councillors, MSPs, MPs, MEPs and various organisations such as Scottish Enterprise and the British Chamber of Commerce.
